I wrote them several months ago, all OMG THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY (without the caps), and the reply was that once skins were introduced people would be able to fix this themselves. I assume it's too much of a hassle to accommodate everyone and when in doubt, screen real estate for the main content trumps alignment nitpicks? (Haha, thanks for the tag!)
